Gleason Reel would like to introduce our new CAN-D product line which includes high quality Festoon Systems and Conductor Bar Systems.

Check out our new Universal Cable Grip. We chose this design because of its size and versatility. We found a non-metallic, flame retardant material that has a temperature range of -25° to 80°C (-13° to 176°F) and is resistant to oils giving us a product that will stand up to most industrial environments.

We also offer a new CAN-D Festoon Cable Trolley that can run on several sizes of structural S-Beams from S3 @ 5.7 to S8 @ 23.0.

CAN-D-Flex® Festoon Systems

Our standard CAN-D-Flex® Festoon Cable Systems are designated to deliver power and control to mobile equipment that has a reciprocal motion. The performance and flexibility of these systems has resulted in their expansion from powering overhead cranes and hoists to now include alternate applications, such as, Jib and Gantry Cranes, Car Shakers, Plating and Cleaning Llines, Monorails, and Welding Equipment to mention a few.

Our standard electrical systems utilize multi-conductor electric cables constructed in a flat configuration, with the conductors totally enclosed in a tough, flexible, bright yellow PVC jacket. The flat cables allow many conductors to be mounted using minimal space, and their design minimizes bending stress, making them the optimum choice for festoon applications. Round electrical cable, air hoses, hydraulic hoses, and even water hoses can also be used with this system.

The four basic CAN-D-Flex® systems are 14 Guage Galvanized C-Track, Heavy Duty Aluminum T-Track, I-Beam Trolley and Tag-Line Systems. All are inherently safe, with no exposed electrical surfaces, and are ideally suited for both indoor and outdoor applications.

CF: Consult Factory

Light Duty: Indoors - clean, dry environment; limited workload. Well suited for CMAA class B, ex: Jib Cranes.

General Duty: Indoor/Outdoor - damp, dirty environment; moderate workload. Well sited for CMAA Class D, ex: Overhead Cranes up to 40 tons.

Heavy Duty: Indoor/Outdoor - wet, dirty environment; speeds up to 300 fpm. Well suited for CMAA Class D, ex: Steel Service Centres, Mill Cranes up to 60 tons.

Severe Duty: Indoor/Outdoor - wet, dirty environments; high-speed use. Suitable for CMAA Class F. *For severe duty applications, consult factory.

C-TRACK

C-TRACK Festoon Cable Systems are the durable, all-purpose workhorse of the industry, and are suitable for a host of applications, both indoor and outdoor.

The track is made of 14 gauge galvanized steel and comes in convenient 10' or 20' lengths which simply bolt together.

T-TRACK

T-TRACK Heavy Duty Festoon Cable Systems are specially designed for applications where a more robust system is required to support heavier loads at wider support spacing. Made of a high strength aluminium extrusion, these systems are rugged enough to handle the most demanding application.

This system can be used for Spark Resistant and Curved Applications.

I-BEAM FESTOON TROLLEYS

Our I-BEAM Festoon Trolleys are designed and constructed to fit varying S-Beam sizes with their adjustable chassis. They are made of steel with a bright zinc finish. They utilize bolt-on wheels for easy changeability if or when they need replacing. With a maximum speed of 90m/min., the four-wheel trolley has a maximum rolling load rating of 100kg.

The S-Beam trolleys are ideally used on monorails to transport electric cables or air hoses. Our S-Beam trolleys can be ordered with a variety of flat cable, round cable or hose saddles.

TAG-LINE

Gleason's CAN-D Tag-Line Festoon Cable Systems are designed to provide reliable performance in light duty applications. The standard cable is constructed of galvanized steel aircraft cable coated to 1/4" with durable nylon.

FESTOON KITS for Overhead Cranes

Gleason Reel is proud to offer an assortment of standardized CAN-D festooning kits to ease in your selection and ordering process. These systems have been designed to exceed the needs of the material handling industry.

All trolleys are mounted onto the flat cables and arranged with a 2 ½" - 3' Loop depth. Dual strain relief round pendant cable is pre-wired to a Quick Connect Trolley at one end and the Pushbutton station at the other end. The control panels are complete with pre-wired Multi-pin Quick Connectors.
